Computer Architecture

This book explains, in easily understandable language, the key architectural principles and implementation techniques used to design and build modern computer systems - from embedded controllers to supercomputers, and everything in between. It will give undergraduate and master's level students studying computer science, computer engineering, and/or electrical engineering both a thorough understanding of how computers work and what characteristics to look for when buying a computer system for personal or organizational needs. It does this by incorporating information about actual computer systems, while providing simplified pedagogical examples where the details of real chips would be overwhelming to students.
